Synchronization with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003

Dataviz, maker of the popular Documents to Go, has released Road Sync. This software extends the existing mobile benefits of Exchange Server 2003 to reach devices like the Treo 650 and Treo 600 smartphones. RoadSync for Palm Powered devices offers access to corporate Outlook e-mail, complete with attachments.

Based on the Exchange ActiveSync protocol licensed from Microsoft, RoadSync is the first commercially available software solution to provide secure, wireless and direct synchronization with Exchange Server 2003, thereby extending the existing mobile benefits of Exchange Server 2003 to reach non-Microsoft devices such as the popular palmOne Treo 600 and 650 smartphones. RoadSync for Palm Powered devices offers access to corporate Outlook e-mail, complete with attachments.

With RoadSync, companies who rely on Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 for their corporate data will now be able to utilize their existing investment and deploy a low-cost, easy-to-implement mobility strategy for their workforce without the need for any middleware server. In addition, they will now have the ability to choose from more of the popular devices found in today’s market and deploy a solution that meets their needs without any additional setup and recurring services fees commonly associated with today’s alternatives.

"With our award-winning mobile Office suite, Documents To Go, combined with our new RoadSync solution, our aim is to provide premium solutions that mobilize ‘Office Life’," said Ilya Eliashevsky, DataViz, Inc. "As more businesses adopt a wireless strategy, we are pleased to provide more Palm Powered devices found in the market today with a cost-effective, easy-to-deploy solution for direct and secure access to corporate Outlook e-mail along with attachments."

RoadSync retails for $49.99.
