Warning This is NOT a job for amateurs like me! In spite of the seemingly simple instructions on the LapTopsforLess website to remove the Treo cover, it took brute force and a knife for it to finally pop open. In the meantime the case had started to separate from the keyboard section as well. After it was open, I discovered that a tiny unidentifiable metal pin had dropped out from somewhere inside, the thumbwheel from the side dropped out, lost it's metal cover and deposited a tiny metal spring on the table from somewhere and the top switch/light panel dropped out. Two hours later I'm still trying to figure out how to put the whole thing together again. I strongly suspect that I'll have lost the facility of the thumbwheel as no matter what way I try to insert it, its cover, and the tiny spring every which way possible, it still doesn't seem to function (at least with the cover open), but will probably still have a working phone. Bring on the 650 and hurry. |
