To get the call coming into the headset on the 2nd ring, I did the following:
Go into Prefs > Handsfree > and change "Auto Answer" to Immediately, After 1 ring, After 2 rings or disable depending on your preference.

Actually, after looking this up, mine is set to "After 1 ring", not 2 rings. This helps me get my phone out of the holster to see who it is before the call comes through. But, if I set it to immediately, I am sure the call would come right through to the BT250v headset.

As for having to "pair" the BT250v with the Treo 650 multiple times, I had a similar problem with v1.03 on Verizon (albeit, it happened on occasion). Once I upgraded to updater v1.04, I have not had the problem. Even when my T650 was rebooted by a program crash. Not to say the updater fixed the problem, but I simply have not had any re-pairing of my headset to the phone since the upgrade was completed.

I am sure there are better (clearer) BT devices out there because I get the crackling noises as well. I think it relates to your physical location as at my home, my wireless network causes quite a bit of interference, especially the closer I get to the router. At work, it can get bad, but my opinion is that it relates to the components used to build the structure. Though, I can have my BT250v on while at our techbench while my phone is nearly 30 feet away (through 2 walls and a hallway) and it still works (with the crackling noise/interference).

It really depends on how you need the BT device to function and where you use the equipment. Much like the cell phone carrier signal will vary at the same location. The same could be said for the BT device, the phone and the location.

Thanks,
Kurt
