Sorry to hear you have the same problem but I am glad you posted as I have an update to post.
It seems from what I have read online that this could actually be more of a hardware issue than a software issue. What I mean is from what I have read about this, there seems to be a wire/cable in the phone that gets crimped or something like that if the phone drops.
This made no sense to me until I dropped the phone (again) and the vibrate stopped working (again). What I did was, I called my phone from another line and while it was ringing, I banged the bottom corner of my treo against my open palm (hand). Low and behold it started vibrating again!!! So now I do that everytime the vibration stops and I also know to be aware after some sort of fall (even small ones) that I may have a vibration problem.
It was suggested to me that I should open by phone and un-crimp the wire myself but I have two left hands and I am afraid to ruin the whole thing.
Dont bother calling any customer disservice for help as all they will make you do is do a hard reset which as you no doubt know, is a royal pain. If your phone is still under warranty by all means have your provider take it back and have them send you a new 750 or even an upgrade. The provider will do just about anything to keep you happy and the price of a phone to them is well worth their expense. |
