Did re-install. An Apple doc recommends repairing permissions as you did. Did that. Didn't help. Archived and re-installed OSX V.10.4.4 archiving existing stuff. Didn't help. Tomorrow I will re-install Palm one more time. If that does not work I'm turning my weak mind off!
