Don't Let Them Bug You Don't let them bother you. A lot of people download movies to preview them. If the movie is good, then they go see it in the theatre. Also, occasionally they also d/l a movie they liked but can't wait for the DVD to come out in order to see it again, so they d/l and then by the DVD when it comes out to show their support of a good movie.
Right now this is technically illegal, but I believe in the future there will be one or more compromises to current laws that allow some sort of previewing. I mean, you buy ( except music ) something in the store and don't like it you can return it. With movie theatres and most music media you do not get this choice, so people find their own solution. After some time, a permanent solution will be found.
Remember when music playing radio stations were going to destroy the music industry ( music companies tried to prevent it ), television was going to destroy the movie industry( again movies companies tried to prevent movies broadcast on television ). Heck, the reason Hollywood is where it is today is early film makers did not want to pay patent licensing fees to Edison ( who had a patent on movie cameras ), so they made their movies on the West coast where the law was harder to enforce ( US marshals were on the East coast ).
Ok, enough banter. I think I made my point. Some things never change, and the accusers were once the accused. |
