Is TOM TOM the only unit for the 650 and MAC? if not, what are my other options?
There are other options such as Mapopolis.

Can i use any bluetooth GPS receiver with the TOMTOM software?
Yes, there is a TomTom kit that includes a Bluetooth receiver.

Will my bluetooth headset still work if i am using the bluetooth GPS reciever?
No, this has to do with Palm's implementation of Bluetooth version 1.1. Regardless of which Bluetooth GPS receiver you choose, you will not be able to use both the headset and receiver at the same time.

Is the car cradle GPS unit any better than a stand alone?
It depends on the chipset used in the car cradle. I'm about to trial a Seidio GPS car cradle and will be reporting my findings in the next few weeks.

I am really confused on all these options , i don't wanna regret anything i purchase.
As a Mac user looking for a GPS solution, I can highly recommend the TomTom Kit. I do recommend you read my review. I did experience a few bumps in the road (pardon the pun), but it's a fantastic GPS.
