I have NEVER had roaming charges show up on my bill in 6 years of using Verizon. I often will hit an area that is the Extended Network, but I could care less.
I do have some problems in buildings with the phone. The only other company I know of that does not have this issue is Sprint for some reason.
Verizon giving me 23% off my monthly bill is another good reason to stay. I get the discount because of my employer (government) and they offer the highest for Gov employees. |
Now that I've had both Verizon and Cingular Treo 650's at the same time, they're pretty equal.
They both are better some places and worse some places. The only issue I found is that the Cingular Treo has a lot of background noise. I thought I had a defective treo but there are others with this same problem.
I'll be moving to Cingular next month only because Cingular now works at my house and Verizon doesn't. Cingular put up a cell site a block from me. 5 bars is nice.
