Treo 700w can only work with Exchange through the Exchange ActiveSync. Which requires the root certificate from the server to have a token attached from VeriSign.com to authenticate the certificate as valid for Verizon to allow a secure connection. This certificate has to be copied to the treo and installed. On the Exchange server side, OWA and EAS must be installed. Only other trouble could be with vpn's and if you are using verizon's wireless sync service.
The Treo 700w will not sync any other way with exchange except through a usb or bluetooth connection to a desktop or laptop running outlook if outlook is connected to the exchange server. |
