I had my unlocked Treo 650 on the T-mobile plan $20 unlimited data emails and web browsing. Also I was paying an additional fee for text messaging.
I COULD NEVER GET ONLINE WITH THE T-MOBILE SERVICE.
http://www.everythingtreo.com/forum/...milies/mad.gif I could recieve email and not reply. I was on my t-mobiles tech support for many hours and they could never do anything to help me.
I can't wait to get out of my contract with T-mobile so I can actually use my treo properly
I cancelled my data plan late February and went into withdrawal from the access to viewing my emails (even though I could not reply) So I called them again and asked if I could try again to get the service working properly. They raised the rates to $30.00 a month. I think that is ridiculous especially since the text messaging was included in your sidekick plan and I was paying extra for that.
Because I couldn't reply to my emails I would call people more and rack up those minutes. This resulted in overages that were very expensive.
I would strongly recommend staying away from a company that the Tier 3 tech support people cannot help you to get online and then raise their rates on a service that doesn't really work!
If you still insist on using t-mobile---
I have a hint for you: Add the unlimited cell phone to cell phone minutes for $7.00. They only told me about that after I made 2 or 3 phone calls to them trying to figure out how to cut costs after my overages resulted in a $200 + Cell phone bill.
Also, T-mobile service sometimes switches your calls. What I mean by this is if you are trying to dial a number and you have correctly dialed (I can see their name on the screen from my contacts) the t-mobile service crosses their phonecalls or something and all of a sudden your call is going to a totally different number.
I also have had 3 days during the 6 months I have been with them where I could not dial out at all from the 101/405 Los Angeles area.
So if it is important to your business and your sanity that your phone
#1 dials out
#2 puts calls through to the number you dial
#3 gets online
#4 has tech support
Run, don't walk from T-mobile.
