I dropped two phones within 3 months on the same floor and busted them. The first was the Visor Prism with the phone module add on. This was the early beginnings of what became the Treo line . . . I think I have a picture . . .
It still worked after I dropped it, but the bottom right hand corner was cracked and I had to use my Thumb on the crack to hold the correct amount of pressure while Poking the screen with my left hand to dial the numbers. . . . A friend felt sorry and gave me his old 180. (I think he upgraded to a 300) I hadn't activated it as a phone, but was using it as a PDA when I picked up one afternoon to leave, and it hit the SAME FLOOR that the Visor Prism did! The lid went one way, the device the other, and the screen had a small crack in the lower left hand corner.
So for a time, I was PDAless. And to get up my nerve, I had to start small. So I carried around a candy bar phone for a time, and then moved to a Tungsten E. I was very attracted to its brushed aluminum case . . .
