Hi all,

Recently I woke up to the annoying beeping sound that was coming from my Treo. When I checked it out I saw that it was stuck in a hotsync loop. The phone wasn't connected by usb to my laptop, but my laptop was nearby.

I checked the Palm site and there is a reported issue with a hotsync loop being caused by an application stuck in Quick Install (Solution ID 35306). The problem is I dont have anything in quick install and I havent installed anything on my Treo since I bought it. I went thru the steps to fix the problem anyways, warm reset followed by a soft reset. The warm reset stops the looping, but at that point the phone won't turn on. When I try the soft reset I get stuck in the loop again!

I have been able to get the phone working twice in the last couple of days. Once after a hard reset and once after a warm/soft reset. Both times, the hotsync loop came back.

Has anyone heard of this problem before, and is there a way to fix it? Or is my Treo totally FUBAR.
