I don't use versamail so I don't know what the menu options look like. Try opening the email, clicking the attachment to mark it for download, do a receive again (or whatever versamail calls it) to actually download the attachment. I'd imagine it would give you some sort of option to save it to the RAM, either in pTunes or more likely the voice memo.

Look for it in one of two places: In Tones, in the phone sounds part of Prefs, or in voice memo, where it should give you the option to make it a ringtone.
