Yeah...I don't get it either. I have one person at Cingular tell me that there's a CV file I can download and it will work on my PDA...I had the Media Bundle with 1000 messages and 5 mb...and then he upgraded me to the Media Max with 200 mess and unlimited data...$19.99 per month. NOT $39.99. Then I call customer service and they don't even know what I'm talking about. So...I go back into a Cingular store and I talk to the manager and she tells me that I have to download MobiTV and pay their service fee for it to work...and that's how their going to be running Cingular Video. HOWEVER, I visit the site and it says that the only things that you pay for the service for is the HBO stuff....my biggest issue is that NOBODY knows what the right answer is and I get MANY different answers. They need to train their workers on their stuff BEFORE they release it.

Pretty hard to get to work if you don't have that icon . . .
But as far as losing a grandfathered plan, its actually cheaper than the current "unlimited MediaNet" package. Unlimited MediaNet was just that, for $20 per month. This new max plan offers unlimited data, 200 text/MMS messages and CV for $20 per month! They also offer a further (to further confuse you) max plan that includes more text messages for $30 per month.
Of course you still fall into the medianet for non-pdas vs PDA connect for PDA's and how cingular breaks its own rules to accomodate its customers, ripping off some, while gladly accomadating others . . . And when its new high speed data becomes available, I only see it getting more confusing . . . . |
