When I bought mine all I wanted was not to have to carry a Palm unit and a cell phone. I decided to try out the data plan to see if I'd like it. So far, I do.

Let me tell you from 1st hand experience. I too did not plan on using the email/internet thing. If you dont get a data plan it operates as pay per use. I used it 3 times. My billing also showed more than a few instances when it "jumped" onto the internet without me doing it. Long story short: I recieved a bill for $88 on top of my regular calling plan. Anyways, Verizon was cool about it and took care of the $88.
I ditched the 700w 3 days after i got it. Poooooor reception. But am on the forum again to see if there have been any improvements. I really did love the phone if it wasnt for ppoor reception i would have kept it.
