They are just a reseller for Sprint. You actually call the Sprint Activation Center to select your plan. The unlimited data plan rocks. I can't tell you how much I use...I'm always checking email...surfing the web. It's so handy having the Treo.
The Amazon deal is only for new activations. However, it's only a 1 year commitment and the Sprint $50 rebate should take care of the activation fee.

$299 Amazon Deal is very good considering you get a color PDA right off the bat. You could see if the Sprint store would match, but I haven't heard anyone having much luck with the Sprint stores. I chose the 500 minute plan with unlimted data. Sprint also gives you 3 months of FREE data usage. Not to be a schill for Sprint, but I couldn't be happier with my 300.
