ya.. i got the 1.0 G2 version goin and it is way cool.. and yes you are logged in as long as you have the verichat app open... if you close it, the dialog you talked about is actually coming thru as an sms message with buttons to either chat, which takes you back into the verichat app (which does keep you logged in even if the app itself is not running) and starts a session, or you can do a quick reply which sends it back out using sms, but it of course gets to them as an IM...
so far the only thing i think its missing from being a full IM app is groups which ya need if ya have like 100 people like i do, and maybe emotion icons for all the smiley face things, since when people send them to me now all i see is the actual text representation like (U) or (K), etc...
otherwise it is a true messaging program.. not IM, and not SMS, but the combination of them for a true messaging system... so its much more than just another IM or chatting app... cause of it using the SMS when its not running... |
