Default Treo 680 & T-Mobile

I'm with you on your T-Mobile loyalty. I've been with them since 1997 and I've never had a problem with the service. I guess thats why we stay. In using your Treo 680 there is no other configurations needed. Just put in your sims card and go. Yes - you will need to purchase a data plan (T-Mobile Total Internet) which cost @ $30/mo. Prior to purchasing the 680, I called and asked T-Mobile the same questions: #1 - they don't have a clue and #2 - the rep told me that the Palm OS was fading out - which reinfoced #1. I had to remind myself that I stay for the wireless service not the customer service. Enjoy your 680.

I currently have a Nokia 6681 and am considering upgrading to an unlocked Treo 680. I would like to stay with T-Mobile because my wife and I are both using the service and there are financial benefits to staying within the same network.

Here's my question(s)

Other than simply inputting my Sim Card in the phone, what are the other configurations that I would need to input to access email, etc...? Would I need to purchase a data plan? I can't seem to find information about T-Mobile's data service on their website.

I would appreciate any opinions, pros and cons.

Thanks,
