Funny how providers think just because you want a PDA phone that you HAVE to have a data plan. Sprint tried to pressure me into getting a data (Vision) plan when I first bought my now antique i300. For economic reasons I declined, and have not unknowingly incurred any data charges in the time since. Even funnier is the concept that some providers want to tell you how you can use a data connection, or sell you a package assuming thats the only reason one would use data connections. The bogus network connection is a creative way to deal with the problem. Is it possible to set the phone to "warn/ask before connection" and "disconnect at session end" to avoid excessive usage? |
