I got the reset loop, as well. The loop occured when I hot synched under my original ID to restore all my data, each and every time I tried. Hard resetting does not revert it to 1.03, and restoring data causes the loop again.
I finally got around it by emptying the Backup folder for that ID, and hot synching it to that name after the hard reset, which basically sets up the hot sync ID but on an empty Palm. Then I restored the data from an SD card via BackupBuddyVFS. This doesn't help if you don't already have a backup on a card, but if you do, it may work.
Note that this will lose some of your preferences, specifically favorites and SMS messages. I'm not sure why, since at least the SMS messages were in the backup, and I was able to manually restore them later, they just didn't restore as part of the automatic restore function. Haven't had a chance to see if I can find the file for the favorites to do that, too. |
