No, I will not buy one.
I love my Treo 650, and would love to get a next-gen Linux-kernal-based PalmOS-interfaced Treo with a better camera, more internal storage, internal antenna, and Wi-Fi features. And, I still want bluetooth, infrared, and speakerphone, thank you.
I travel to work locally, and periodically travel internationally, with both a 17" notebook (heavy!) and my Treo which includes service for international calls and data. I can take my Treo anywhere--the park, to children's soccer games, out to eat, biking, etc.
I do not need a third device in the middle. To me it seems like this is not a step backward, not a step forward, but a step to the side. My only hope is that they are going to follow up this announcement with the Linux-Treo and all the other features I mentioned. Please? |
