register for our forums. Anyway, on to the tutorial.
Adding ringtones to your Treo is easy and fun. First, fire up the Treo's built-in web browser and visit:
http://www.pattib.org/ringtones
You will see a list of 12 ringtones.
Select a ringtone to download.
You will be prompted to save to Sound or Card. Select Sound.
You can now use this ringtone for any alert or ringer. Just select
Prefs >Sounds & Alerts. In this example, I've set up the Unknown Caller ID
to the Silent ringtone.
To assign to a specific caller, do the following:
Enter the dialer and enter the favorite caller who you would like
to set the ringtone for - then select the Menu button and select
Edit Favorites Button.
Select the ringtone from the drop-down menu.
That's it. Congratulations. You've just downloaded, installed and
assigned a custom ringtone.
