UPDATE: Okay you guys let me know what you think and I'll do whatever everyone wants. So I was thinking about what some of the guys were saying about all the version numbers except the software version had been updated (even though it felt like the SW version had been updated). So I'm using a Vista machine with Mobile Device Manager and couldn’t get the setup wizard for the unbranded Treo to work. Today, now that I'm back at the office, I said “…let me use my special IT powers and boot someone off their XP machine for a little while.” So I took the unbranded setup wizard (which I now have as a CD style setup, not a single executable), placed it onto a flash drive, went to the, now available, XP machine and ran the update wizard...vuala, I now see TREO-2.23-ATT for my software version. So, my feeling is that if you got an XP machine, email me for the Setup Wizard, otherwise just ask for the ROM image. But it's up to the people, should I just send all requests a zip file of the setup wizard? I moded the setup wizard files (not the update itself, remember I DO NOT change the ROM image binaries) so that it will install even if you've already applied the image I've been giving out. If you’ll be using XP: - Make sure you have the latest version of ActiveSync installed (4.5) - Once you’ve done that, go ahead and attach your Treo to the USB port on your PC so that you get all the drivers installed - After Windows gets the drivers installed, reboot into the bootloader with the USB attached so that Windows installs the bootloader drivers - This will help give you a smooth installation so that the update wizard doesn’t timeout waiting for drivers to install during the individual update steps - Make sure use the same USB port throughout the entire process (Windows tends to install new drivers for the same device when you use a different USB port, it’s best just to keep the cable connected for all of this) - Just in case, remove any miniSD you may have inserted Now just run the update by double clicking the "INDEX.HTA" file located in the root of the setup wizard folder.
