I was looking into using the treo as a modem since I have the unlimited package. I asked a Cingular rep and he told me that I could use the treo as a modem but if I do that, then I would be charged for additional data consumption because the unlimited use is only for the PDA. They can distinguish whether I am pulling data with the PDA or laptop by determining which browser is used (Blazer vs. IE). Is this true?
