You might want to check out TakePhone, mentioned earlier in this thread. It offers hard pause (tap a button on the screen to dial extra digits), as well as a host of other features like dial by photo, calling cards, location-based dialing, etc.
The developer has excellent support as well.
I just tried this on my new 755p and it doesnt seem to recognize a #. Does anyone know if this is possible? Also, it seems that the numbers have to be recorded as favorites as you cant access the additional numbers from the contact screen itself.
