I agree with your statement; however, if the device were to do EVERYTHING everybody KNOWS is a requirement, the device would never get out the door. In addition, Bluetooth itself is far from perfect. About 6 months ago I dropped Nextel, the phone I had with them, a high end phone that did everything (literally), and frankly, the phone sucked in a number of areas that the Treo does pretty good with.
The Bluetooth dongle does well. I had one with my 600 and did the voice control stuff with it. I just have not missed it though, as the current series do so many things, that one thing is just not important to me.
