Setting alert options
You can choose an alert sound—such as a
bird, a phone, or an alarm—to let you know
when new email arrives.

In the account you want, press Menu

Select Options, and then select
Preferences
.

Select Alerts.

Select alert options:
•
Check the Alert me of new mail box.
•
To receive alerts of successful Auto
Sync retrievals only, uncheck the
Alert me of failures
box. Leave the
box checked if you want to receive
alerts for both successful and failed
Auto Sync retrievals.

Select the Alert Sound pick list, and
then select a sound. The smartphone
plays a brief demo of the sound.
5 Select OK.
