No, Sprint is on a CDMA network and AT&T is on a GSM network. The two and not compatible at all. The changes would have to be hardware related, and I'm not aware of anyone that's done that yet.
I will soon be switching from Sprint to AT&T as well. I'll be getting that new ipaq 910 (similar to the 700w). It's expensive, but I'm thinking may be worth it.
