I picked up an athletic stopwatch lanyard for my cell phone and mp3 player. it is made strong enough to break the tether mount out of the body on an Lg cell phone. Dont ask me how i know that
I have also had good luck with fishing and marine neck lanyards for keys and waterproof wallet bags. they have extremely strong line and breqkaqay clips. Usually made out out of ballistic nylon cord materials.
Have you checked into 2 way radio neck cords. The ones motorola sells for their business radios could choke you ro death before failing. I will leave the discretion up to you want your palm to outlive you.
