Just to be safe, I would Google your apps (ex. "Pocket Tunes Treo 680") to make sure there are no conflicts. I don't recall if the 680 had a newer version of Palm Desktop, but it wouldn't hurt to run the install from the CD that came with your new Treo. It won't touch your backup folder. During the install, it will ask whether you want to sync with Outlook or Palm Desktop.
