I have been playing MP3s on my car stereo with a tape adapter, but there is a trick.
The Treo looks for resistance in the stereo adapter before turning off the external speaker and routing the music to the headphones. The car stereo adapters apparently don't have enough to trigger that switch from external speaker to headphone. What I have done is purchase a 1/8" stereo speaker splitter and I plug a pair of headphones into one side and the tape adapter in the other. It works fine. |
