This would probably be very good. Right now, I don't need my phone for data so much. My situation is such that I have wireless for my powerbook just about everywhere I ever need to be and so I have data access when I need it.

For the times that I am traveling outside my usual places, I recently joined TMobile's "Wireless everywhere" plan (Pay As You Go) so that I can get wireless at airports and so forth (for my Powerbook). Works well, both here in the USA and elsewhere.

If my situation changes (again) and I need data on my phone, I will definitely have to do something. The European and North African SIMS I use when I am there are all data, so I am well-served there. Ironic, isn't it?

I feel bad neglecting what was a great aspect of my Treo, but I still love it anyway!
