Treo 700 & Games

I've downloaded a few games and none seem to work, they get so far and just lock up??

Anyone successfully install a game and get it to play? If so what one(s)

i downloaded backgammon from handmark (i believe). that seems to work. =)

for all the "real" games it's gonna be another few weeks or so

I have read in other forums that many apps/games designed for WM03 are not compatible with WM05. Several have reported stability problems running WM03 software on a WM05 device.

Thanks for the reply. I got a few games to run, but they run with bugs. Options and links seem to be offset, if there is something to click on like "new game" "settings" etc the click area is almost an inch away!

I don't know, but I would think that this has to do with the 240X240 Screen size more than anything else. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this is a new screen size for any Win 05 device. Most of the devices are 320X240 or 320X320 I believe and this is what programmers designed to. 240X240 is one more setting that will have to be addressed in all software developed for WM05.

Mobile Stream ported their games (Meteor Breakout, Mobile Jigsaw, Jackpot Casino) to Treo 700w.

I downloaded Sudoku by Astraware and it works great!
Got it from www.PocketGear.com
They do have a subsection on their site just for 700 software.
And a free trial so you can see if software works on your device.
I do believe it has a LOT to do with the square 240x240 screen of the 700
As anything not made exclusively for my Win5 700w will NOT work.. or if it works the graphics are not decipherable!
