Accessing gMail Using VersaMail on your Treo

Has anyone figured out a way to stop versamail from downloading your replies that you sent from your gmail account on your computer? Everytime versamail fetches gmail, my replies get downloaded as well. I spend a lot of time sorting and deleting them from versamail! Thanks in advance!

i get an error "530 5.5.1 Authentication Required g22sm1061193rvb" whenever i try to send from versamail using gmail. any ideas?

I have been following this thread and trying out the different suggestions everyone's been giving. I've gotten really close to figuring everything out, and i wanted to add one last account in versamail to check something out, but I was met with this error.

"All accounts are in use. Deleted accounts can be re-used after performing a HotSync. Make sure the VersaMail conduit is turned on and not set to 'Do Nothing' "

I've opened HotSync manager but I do not see the versamail conduit anywhere. I've tried a hard reset and resyncing everything, to no avail.

Help!! How do I clear out the old deleted accounts to free up space for new ones? I've deleted them, but it seems they aren't entirely gone, or their "slots" are still being used or something.

Any suggestions would be amazing!

i have my Gmail setup like described above but still keep getting Authentication required everytime i try to send an email any suggestions
this is on a treo 650 on ATT/Cingular

Palm support says you can't remove this body info sent with every email. Did you find a way to get rid of it?

Hellow, I'm having an issue w/ gMail.
I followed your thread for the install, I keep getting an Error, like "go to" gmail set-up page and enable POP access, I do that and still the same olde'. Like 530 5.5.1 Authentication Req'd, one code was; e19sm3261945qbe.

Going back to Account Set-up,
Acct Name: gMail ( exactly like this?)
Mail Service: US-GMail Is this right? I've selected "Other" and when I go back it has US-GMail, I've re-done the "set-up" process 2X's to make sure I've done everything right!
What am I missing here?

First things first, launch Versamail and go to Account Setup:


Next, name it Gmail or anything else you'd like. Select Other and POP as the protocal.



Enter your full username, so yourname@gmail.com and enter your password.



Enter your email address and the coordinating POP and SMTP settings:



Click on advanced and set incoming server settings:



Next, it will ask you to set outgoing server settings:



Press Done and then Get Mail. That's it. You've successfully set up Gmail using Versamail on your Treo. I haven't tried this with Snappermail, but I'm sure it works using the above settings which by the way are available at Google.
