Have just discovered my favourite offline reader for Palm - Avantgo - which I have been using for years on different generations of Palms (and now on the treo pro under Windoze Mob) has been discontinued.

Does anyone know of a good alternative. I had read in one online Blogg a ref to "Plucker", but can only find Desktop windows software for this (and not sure if it is what I want) ?

I guess RSS readers should do, but have not yet found one that allows me to organise things conveniently: eg Google news reader shows too much junk so time consuming to page through and find the interesting stuff. Something with a nice clean layout that allows me to aggregate different news sources (esp finance news sources such as the bloomberg one that used to be available on Avantgo) would be great.

PS: like my Treo pro look and feel, size, weight features (GPS, Wifi, etc). But mostly hate the windows mobile O.S. and Absolutely HATE being tied to using outlook and active sync for syncing contacts and calender etc - took a whole day and of messing about with different configs, user settings, reading online bloggs etc to finally get my pro to sync its address book
