Well, let's see...what are the choices?
Blazer - the standard
Xiino
Eudora Web

Any others that I'm missing? I've been using Blazer primarily. I use Eudora for sites that think Blazer is a WAP browser. I found that certain sites force you to use the WAP site. I was able to get around this by using Eudora. Eudora will load everything...and I mean everything. I set it for text only browsing, but have found it helpful on such sites as cbs.sportsline.com.

I've had minimal use with Xiino, but I think it might be time to give it another test run.

Eudora is free...free is good. Xiino is $30.

WebPro for Treo600. Mucho faster than the Treo600 Blazer, renders better as well (at least I think so). Also, if you use Outlook Web Access, it is hands down the best browser to handle it (the Treo600 Blazer is useless w/OWA)

Not familiar with Web Pro? The only WebPro I found was this and it's Tungsten only.

What about WebViewer by Reqwireless. I might give that a test run. Works with both the Treo 600 and Treo 650.

I'd like to find a speedier alternative to Blazer.

Well, hopefully through active discussion like this we can learn what works best for everyone - with speed and rendering being the key factors. Speed is only one factor. The ability to render a site correctly is another. For me, I don't like when sites identify Blazer as a WAP browser.

If I recall, MillerHiFi is a proponent of Xiino based upon the speed of the app. Checked their site and they are indeed 650/600 compatible.

If anyone decides to start giving the browsers a go --- I'd suggest one at a time. I used to suffer from "install everything" and see what works best. What I found is that I didn't have time to properly trial the software. This was a while back -- I installed a number of ringtone managers (which is probably not a good idea anyway as they probably share resources).

I was left out in the cold on certain app's when the trial expired. I have since learned my lesson.

I definitely recommend Xiino although I have yet to try it on my 650. I used it back in the 270 days and it was awesome. Xiino has released an updated version that is compatible with the 650 and I've read in other forums that it is much faster than Blazer (Web).

the biggest thing about Xlino on the 650 is that it is not made for high rez stuff, so even though it loads fast it loads distorted.

i really dont want a browser, no matter how fast it is, that does not take advantage of the brilliant screen that our Treo 650's posses. back to the drawing board...
