Call Filter for Treo 650
From what I understand, Call Filter by Velocityware is outstanding. Now that my VZW 650 is really up and running, I'm finding a real need for a useful call screening application.
Anyone know if the developer is working on a 650-compatible release (in fact, is Call filter for Treo 600 compatible with the 650?) or is there a similar application out there that 650 owners can use?

The last I spoke with Velocityware, they were working on a release for the Treo 650. I'll send him an email and ask him to respond. CallFilter is an outstanding application and it would be a welcome addition to the Treo 650 software lineup.

I asked. They're working on it but the programmer is having some personal issues which are taking a lot of his time. Looks like a cool app, though.

I found another program that seems to be working fine on my Treo 650...
Shield http://www.handango.com/PlatformProd...pSectionId=441
You get a 7 day trial, and so far I havn't had any problem with it. I'd prefer CallFilter, but it's not compatible with the 650 (causes mine to do an endless crash-loop).

Did you install CallFilter on your 650? If so, you should delete it -- it's not compatible with the 650.

Both Call Filter AND Call Shield (as per the product manual) require a Treo 600 and are not supported on a Treo 650. If DigitalJEM has it working on his/her 650, that's fortunate, but I'm not going to chance it with system-level software. Let's hope those developers are coding away. Meanwhile, it's Ringo.

v1.3 coming?
Great news: I just received e-mail from Velocityware indicating that they plan to release v1.3 (650-compatible) soon. We all know what "soon" can mean in the computer world, but I'm still encouraged. There's still no quite comparable application out there.

That is great news. I've swapped emails in the past w/ the developer. I'll contact him to see if I can find out more information.
This was a great, stable, reliable app for my 600.
