Changing Contacts View

maybe i'm overlooking an obvious setting, but i'd like a different view in Contacts. Is there a way to view by Company rather than individual?

Hello, alphadogkc. Welcome to ET.com. There is a setting to view by company name.

Open up contacts, then hit the menu button, then go options / preferences. You'll see the option to list by last/first or by company name/last.

I knew it must be a simple setting, but I could not find it. On the same subject, are you aware of a program that would allow a custom view? Company, last name, first name.

I have made several ad hoc groupings of friends and family and used those terms as company names for sorting purposes within Outlook (the master list). Obviously I mave many family members with the same last name. I'm open to suggestions on how to manage this.

There are a few different apps that would do this for you. One is Agendus (Standard, Pro or Premier version); another is Datebk6. I use Agendus Premier and Datebk6 is very popular, too.
