having trouble opening attachments using chattermail. can anyone help! i have a sprint treo 650 and have the free trial version

Where are your messages loading to now? I would guess that if the download won't finish, its a memory issue on the device itself. If you haven't already, try sending your messages to your Card. Other than that thought, I have nothing else to recommend . . .

Just to cover the obvious stuff...
What kind of attachment is it? Do you have an app on the Treo to handle that type of attachment?

The phone will say it downloaded and then it'll go to a white screen like its going to open it up but it just gos back to the message itself. I have documents-to-go on the phone which handles Word Files. its a word file that it wont open.....it will open picture files(jpeg etc...)

I just sent myself a word document. First I opened the email in Chatter, and downloaded the rest of the document. When I clicked on it, it asked me if I wanted to save it or open it. I chose to "Open" it. It started up the Docs to go app and said it was converting. It converted the text and the graphics that were embedded with the file. Its been a few weeks since I had recieved a word doc in an email and I wanted to test it and make sure it would convert. If you have installed Docs to go, and are already converting existing word docs from your computer to your Treo, then you have me stumped! Since I have installed Chatter, I have recieved and opened Pictures, Excel Files and word docs.
