| Delete SMS quicklist A member of another forum seems to have created an app to quickly delete the SMS quicklist. I have not used it, so can't attest to its performance. I figure, as many people as there that ask about something like this, I'd post what I found. http://www.belekonline.net/treo/ClearSMSList_En.PRC
Edit: This is an app for the 650, NOT THE 700p

| Not yet. Thank you KD for your attempt to help But when I follow the link to the thread, what comes up is a bunch of "computer jiberish." Well at least now I know what the official name of that list is. The SMS Quicklist, thanks again. |

| Bad News Sorry to be the clog in the machine here, but the same thing happens when I click on that link. Computer jibberish may be the wrong thing to call it. Maybe it's programming language. I don't know about those things. But a small bit of info that might be relavent. I am a MAC user.
Thanks again. |

| Actually, I think the Mac may be it. I hadn't thought of that. Do you generally use .prc files to load apps onto your Treo with your Mac?

| Not sure if you say you're on the Mac, but if in Windows, you can right click on the link and then select "Save Link As" or something similar rather than simply clicking on the link.
Oops. Looks like you are on the Mac. See if you can save the link as a file in Mac. I have no idea how it works on a Mac. Sorry. |

| Control-click does the same thing as right clicking does. Your browser (Safari?) isn't getting the instruction to download the file, so it opens the document as ASCII characters in a new window. What also should work is allowing the full file to load as "gibberish" in the window, then going to File > Save As... and saving the file as a text file named "ClearSMSList_En" Once it's saved, simply change the extension from .txt to .prc. and it should work.

| Hi,
I tried the link & I get the "jibberish" too.
I have a mac & tried saving as .prc & .txt & both ways it still looked the same.."jibberish".
What does the prc mean? maybe I don't have that program.
My comuter skills haven come very far since the "Commodor 64" era...
Any advise for the ignorant?
Thanks
