I am sure than many of you have heard the "latest" that the Palm OS has a security problem when the device is locked - the search key can be activated and data viewed during a phone call. Yep, that is true.
There has been a bit of discussion about applications that work around that bug and one application mentioned was Warden by Corsoft (
http://corsoft.com/warden.asp). I downloaded/installed the application and gave it a run. Turns out it also has a security problem. I run TakePhone and have it enabled to be the application returned to after a telephone call has been made. Well, that is exactly what happens. With the Sprint Treo 700p locked via Warden and a phone call is made, the device goes straight to TakePhone. I advised the people at Corsoft of this.
I use TealLock 6 and it does suffer the search problem; however, a utility has been released that disables the search key. The link to the utility is
http://discussion.treocentral.com/at...1&d=1171597690 and is installed to the device RAM.
