Default Docs to Go won't open PDF..

Have Docs to Go, premium edition which should open pdf's. Some pdf's will open fine. however some will not. I get a message that the pdf is not a valid pdf when in fact I know that it is. I have installed, reinstalled several times to no avail. Get the message that it is not a valid pdf. I can open it on my desktop using Adobe Reader. It is not encrypted or document secure. So why is my Treo telling me that it is not valid? What can I do to correct this. Maybe there is a conflict with another program altho I do not have any 2rd party apps on my 650. Very frustrating.

Are you trying to view pdf's that you have downloaded from an email attachment on your treo?

yes. these are attachments from an email. I use Versamail on my 650. They are simple text files built on Unix and then converted to pdf using text2pdf.

Unless you are using the latest version of Docs2Go v 8. You cannot view native pdf's from a downlaoded email attachment. You are probably using the version that came bundled with your treo which is v 7 and in order to view pdfs on your treo, you'll need to convert them on your pc first and then hotsync.

Then what ever you have going on here is more than likely your problem.
What happens if you try to open a normal pdf that isn't a text file converted to pdf using text2pdf?

So far I have been able to open all othe pdf's. I realize that it has to be this specific pdf, but DTG was able to open it and said that I should be able to do so as well. Can't figure out what makes this one so difficult. DTG is a good program and much better than Palm pdf, which by the way wouldn't work either, not on any pdf's on my treo.

Check the properties of the PDF that you are trying to view on with DTG8. Or try saving a copy of it with your PDF reader on your computer and then try loading it. I think it might have something to do with the tagging not be recognized but I am not sure off the top of my head.
