Force an app to close?

I installed a game, and it appears to be pretty buggy. The game interface has a quit button but it isn't reacting when I tap it with my stylus.

Is there a key command similar to alt-F4 that I can use to force this application to close?

Im stuck looking at the game screen, and my user manual doesnt mention anything about 3rd party applications and how to get out of them.

If it's a Treo 600/650 then the game should be exited if you can switch to the launcher via the Home key or another application with the hard keys. I know some games take over the usage of the hard keys, but the Home key should still work.
