Gmail for Mobile crashes on 700P
Gmail for Mobile (including 650, 680 and 700P) launches today.

Unfortunately when I try to download it my 700P crashes and reboots. :-(
To download it, point your Treo browser to here...

Anyone else have any luck?

Have you tried it within the last hour or so? The one posted much earlier today was no good. I installed it and it ran fine. My question though is how to delete it. I use ChatterEmail and have no interest in going through all of those messages, though I may have a reason someday. I have found that most Midlet apps are difficult to uninstall without uninstalling Java.
I executed a hard reset and restore from last night, then with Northglide's On Guard Backup restore the files from today's work.

I tried downloading it today but nothing happens after I save it to my SD card...

You must have Java installed in main memory and the move the file from the SD card to main memory. Ben

where in main memory do you install the file to? just drop it in the main directory of the Treo? I have a 650, and when viewing the 650 file system with "filepc2pda," I see two folders named 0, and 1. I'm guessing 0 is the Treo main memory folder, and 1 is my SD card, yes?
thanks again........

There are no "folders" in main memory. Just copy it to main memory, wich is probably "0."

This allows you to maintain what is on the web without using the browser and allows you to later download it to your mailer. Ben
