HELP!! Versamail send attachments...Treo 650

Somebody PUHLEASE help!!! Ive searched all over the internet trying to find a solution with no luck. Here's my dilemma:

I just bought a Treo 650 through Alltel and I absolutely LOVE it...HOWEVER, I didnt realize until it was too late that Alltel doesnt support MMS (Picture, sound, video texts) on any of their smartphones! This means that in order for me to send a picture to someone, I have to use Versamail.

I have my Versamail set up with my gmail account and it works fine, but if I try to attach a picture to the message I just get a email w/no attachments! Does ANYONE have any idea why this happens??

For some reason it will let me send a picture text from my actual gmail account on my laptop, just not with my Treo 650 Versamail as an attachment!

I have a 700p and have had the same problem with versamail/gmail. I found that the attachemnt will go through if I include some text in the body of the message. Versamail still only puts the message in the drafts folder after it's sent though and I have to mannually move it to the sent folder - annoying! I don't have this problem with my yahoo or earthlink email so I suspect the problem is with gmail. Unless someone has a better solution I'm going back to using my yahoo account.
