Default HotSync Semi-Failure

Hello all,

My problem is as follows : my HotSync is semi-functional. Whenever I do it, nothing gets backed-up to the Palm Desktop software, none of my new entries, nothing.

Yet, I installed VolumeCare just yesterday and although the message "The HotSync Operation was interrupted. Your data was NOT backed up" appeared, VolumeCare got installed with no problem...

While looking through my log, I saw that most of my operations did not back-up and the following message : 1852402768 synchronization failed.

The only thing I can think of that might have caused a stir is that I deleted a demo version of Backup Buddy but if I remember correctly, the problem started prior to this.

Help anyone?

BackupBuddy really does not come into play with the initial sync. Have you checked to make sure the backup directory is the correct one and that the conduits are enabled and properly set? In the past this also indicated out of date conduits. Are you backing up to an Apple? You an do a google search and the information will just jump out at you. One of particular interest is http://forums.palmone.com/palm/board...message.id=452.

The link in message number two would be a place to start. Ben
