How to delete the Xpress Mail app from Cingular on the Treo 650 - Treo Forums

Hey all, I wanna delete the Xpress mail provided by cingular from my treo. Since i use chatter mail, i don't find the need for having Xpress mail which occupies unecessary memory. Does anyone know of a way of deleting it. Kindly help me.

If this was on your phone right out of the box, you would need to install a custom ROM to do this. That is a very detailed task to undertake. I am not brave enough to try it.

I would recommend hiding it . . Out of sight, out of mind . . . .

Obsfucate is in the freeware section here and does a great job of hiding stuff like Good, Welcome, etc. What would be nice would be to have the ability to rid yourself of such worthless stuff, but the above poster is right on. The only way to totally do it is to install a custom ROM and that brings on new problems . . . Firmware updates being one of the largest in my eyes . .
