ICQ Friendly Instant Messaging? - Treo Forums

I just got a Treo 650 and am having a tough time finding instant messaging applications that support the renaming of ICQ contacts.

Mundu Lite and Chatopus do not.

A list full of contacts like 21435612453, 523461253, 378293719, and so forth is NOT even remotely usable.

Does anyone know if anything besides Causerie allows you to do this?

not an instant messenger type of guy but have you looked at verichat....Not sure if it does what you want but its another instant messenger for Treos.

Chatopus supports the renaming of contacts. Choose the "Info" command (right-hand corner), choose the contact and then click the Rename button.

However, you have to manually rename your ICQ contacts.
