Mail without data connection?

I have a Treo 650 without a data package. Does anyone know if I can set up mail to sync to Outlook Express on my desktop? My old Palm IIIxe did this, but the same setup on the Treo doesn't work. Is the only way to get email on the Treo wirelessly?

It took me a long time to figure this one out myself. Even though you are not using Palm Desktop, you need to open it and run the Versamail app from there. It will walk you through a wizard to set up an account. Once you do this, you need to set up the account on your Treo. Next time you synch, your emails should appear under this account in Versamail.
