    Music or Audio minitones

I just downloaded minitones to my 650, there are no songs listed in the program, I deleted the few mp3's I have and uploaded them again but still nothing there. Can anyone help?

Hi, This is just a utility program, there are no songs that come with minitones. It is designed to work with .mp3 files of your own that you have stored on your SD card. I even have the minitones utility stored on the SD card. After you place all of your .mp3 files on your SD card and then open minitones, it should find all of them and list them for you to see. You choose the one you want to make a ringer from by placing a checkmark next to it. Most .mp3's must be trimmed to make them smaller, since minitones will place the ringer in RAM in your Sounds file. I usually make a ringer about 30-40 seconds long, this works well. The trim feature of minitones is great, you click on the right slider button and drag it down the scale until you get to the spot in the tune that you want to use as the ringer. You can adjust either more or less by clicking on the minus or plus symbols next to the START and STOP sliders. When you get it edited to just the spot you want for the ringer, click ADD and it will chop the tune and place it in your SOUND folder. Then just go into SOUNDS and you should see your tune in there to choose as a ringer.

    Good luck

Just curious, how is MusicTones better than Minitones? Are you able to store the ringtones you make on the SD card, as Minitones will only put them into RAM. thanks
